Darwin (July 2021)

Before and after the Kakadu trip we had two stays in Darwin: 28 – 30 July and 04 – 06 August 2021.

From 0° in Alice a 2 hour flight later and Darwin is hot and humid, 30° plus. Great place to spend winter. There’s lots a good eating too. We had another three days lazing around in Darwin after our Kakadu trip before heading off 4WD overland to Broome.

Nonna Dumplings – couldn’t resist for lunch everyday
Can’t come to Darwin and not have a mud crab
Serving up the seafood paella at Mindil Beach
The Mindil Beach Sunset Markets are about 30 minutes walk from central Darwin
There’s live music and at least 50 stalls selling food from all over the world
Hundreds of people were making their way onto the beach as the sun set into the Timor Sea
