On previous visits to Turkey we kayaked along the southern coast and later walked the Lycian Way (click here) but we never made it to Cappadocia with its “fairy chimneys” and historic cave houses. We booked a tour with Intrepid and planned a few hiking days in the nearby valleys.
Then we saw some photos of colossal stone heads from the 1st Century BC on the remote Mount Nemrut so we had to go there. |
